The idea behind a perfectly planned store front is to lure the customer with enticing graphics, descriptions, and items so that they want to come inside. Getting the customer to walk toward the display is half the battle. The rest is achieved with proper placement of the items, brochures, or pamphlets that will be distributed by the company marketing team.

Creativity is in high demand when coming up with the perfect project that will result in the maximum amount of traffic possible. Some companies opt for loud colors and even loud audio in order to catch the attention of the passersby. There is a lot of competition at an expo, and the need to set them apart from the rest is the driving force behind the display strategies that are employed.
A trade show exhibit design in the past has been everything from futuristic to comical. It is the desire of the representatives that will be in charge of the booths and displays to increase attention in whatever way possible. One booth might be built entirely out of Lego blocks, while the one right beside it may be constructed of cubes of stacked Styrofoam. In the past, small campers have been used as have small cars and vans that were completely gutted out in an effort to make a display out of them, or rather, inside of them.
A trade show exhibit design always includes signage. There may be banners that hang horizontally or diagonally. There may be a need for banners that fly from a stationary pole or post. Some signs are created to take advantage of lighting as well. Some signs may be bold and bright while others are more muted and neutral colors. At these expos one will see signs that are made of plastic, vinyl, rubber, glass, wood, aluminum and all other sorts of materials. Again, all of this is done in an effort to be noticed. It is all about rising above the competition and saying to the customer that this is the booth that they should be visiting, not that other one.
A trade show exhibit design will sometimes feature signage that can be seen over the top of all of the other booths and displays. This is in an effort to make sure that the first thing that the potential customers and visitors are aware of is this company’s display. Being able to see the signage up high will give the visitors something to look for as they make their way toward the booth.
Innovation and creativity are the key factors in coming up with a winning display that will not only attract the attention of the customer but will also give them a positive idea of the company. The goal is to see that they will purchase the company’s product, and hopefully become repeat customers. The idea is also that they will tell their friends and family about the company and products or services.
