Event Displays Should Be Well Thought Out

Effective event displays are designed can make the difference between success and failure in any type of venue.  Trade shows, conventions and conferences are great places to really get the message out about a product, good or service.  The well thought out and properly designed exhibit can not only catch the eye of those passing by, but it can also pique their interest enough to make them stop and check out the product being marketed.  

One of the best ways that event displays can be utilized is by making sure that the colors are representative of the product they are showcasing.  Some colors are more traditional while others are definitely designed to be bolder, attracting attention from anyone who glances at them.  Knowing which colors are more suitable for one product over another is often the key to making sure that the mood is set for the booth before the trade show gets under way. 

Having the right types of units such as information stands and brochure racks can also have an impact on the overall success of the event displays.  Everything needs to look like it has a place and a purpose within the exhibit.  Nothing is worse than a messy and disorganized exhibition booth.  This is sure to make people think twice about whether or not this company is the right one with which to do business.  A good way to avoid such a negative impression is to make sure that the exhibit is designed by a professional.

It is also good to know whether or not the arena in which the event displays will be placed has limitations on video or audio exhibits.  Depending on the product or service that is being marketed, media can be extremely effective tools to demonstrate the products proper use or why a certain service is necessary for a consumer.  Research has often times shown that being able to demonstrate anything from instructions to advertisement through the use of an instructional video or an explanatory audio clip can be much more effective than just putting the information within the confines of a brochure. 

Sometimes it is a good idea to think about the shape and size of a booth for an exhibit because if it needs to be portable and made of a light weight and durable materials that can withstand excessive handling. One of the most popular options is fabricated plastic.  Some are made to be easily moved from one trade show to another while others are bigger and bulkier and require being shipped from one arena to the next.  How the exhibit is going to be transported will play an important role in choosing the best material and design for the business owner’s needs.  

Of course none of the event displays would be complete without additional signage. From signs that point the way to the exhibit, to signs that direct potential customers to brochures and other types of informational flyers and literature, it is important to remember that each section of the booth needs to be labeled with an identifier of some sort.  This lets the potential customer easily navigate the booth to find the pertinent information on the product.
